Layla Resto Bar

A taste of Lebanon in the heart of Kraków

The story of a place that, from its very first evening, was meant to smell of cardamom and burning candles.

Our story

A journey to Lebanon without leaving Kazimierz

Layla means "night" in Arabic - and it's exactly that atmosphere of a Lebanese night, full of long conversations around a generously laid table, that we wanted to bring to Kraków's Kazimierz district. Layla Resto Bar was born from a longing for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine and for the atmosphere of places where people eat together, unhurried, for hours.

Stone cellar vaults, the warm glow of candles and oriental lanterns, the scent of cardamom and grilled spices - a setting inspired by the ancient temples of Baalbek accompanies every visit, from morning coffee to late-night cocktails.

Kitchen

Recipes passed down through generations

We prepare hummus, mutabbal, tabbouleh, kibbeh and mezze according to traditional Lebanese recipes - no shortcuts, no substitutes. For grilled dishes we choose fresh, seasonal ingredients, and behind the bar we blend Lebanese arak and Middle Eastern spices with classic mixology.

This is a cuisine made for sharing - which is why we serve most mezze family-style, right at the middle of the table, just as it's done in Lebanon.
